The 6th Ireon Music Festival 2009.
Amazing line-up and a wonderful huge crowd.
This was the most successful festival in the Aegean ever! Almost 7000 people were there during these three days event. The Stranglers, Cyanna, Locomondo, Valkyries, Imniskoumbria, and Nigma made this happen

The 5th rock festival of Ireon turned out to be a music happening with all different kind of music-streams: Electro pop (Marsheaux, Mikro), world music (Palyrria, Greek ( Korgialas Evridiki, and French rock (Vegastar)

Ecker cup 2007 / 1000 Meilen Regatta.
The last famous Ecker cup 2007 was ending on the 28 of October in Samos. A big event for the new marina close to Pythagorion. Over 100 yachts and 700 people from Croatia, Austria and Germany.

Ireon rock festival Samos.
The biggest music event of Samos, turned out to be a great succes. This year with national and international bands like Aswad ( reggae from London) Locomondo, Mikro, Dionisis Kalafatis & Olga Venetsianou.

Carnival on Samos in Karlovassi. The biggest carnival event is every year in Karlovassi, this year it was a beautiful day with lots of sun, and lots of Greeks from all the small villages of Samos island.

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomeos on Samos. The Patriarch, the "primus inter pares" of the world's Orthodox Patriarchs, arrived in Greece over the weekend, Bartholomeos met with local Samos officials, wine-makers and visited the Metamórphosi church in Pythagorion and the Monasteries Timios Stavros and Megali Panagia.

11-13 August, Rock festival 2006 Ireon Samos.
Three days free music event with local
( Fat Mountain, Pheaton, Valkyries ) and national ( Domenica, Locomondo, No NAME band, Ble ) bands.

Stalactite Caves & Mines on Samos Island:
Samos has about 70 discovered caves. You will find big stalactite caves, public caves with small chapels and about 100 ancient Mines of geological interest. Speleological trained members of the Efpalinos Club Samos are exploring the caves and mines - with support from the Prefecture Samos, the Municipalities of Samos and the Hellenic Federation of Speleology. These efforts have received the permission of the Paleoanthropo-
logical Division of the Ministry of Culture of North Greece.
